This page includes HTTP resources.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The window that pops up if you click on the padlock or tune icon contains the first part of the warning without any specific details:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/notfully.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can find more details by checking the <strong>Security<\/strong> tab in the console after clicking <strong>Ctrl<\/strong> + <strong>Shift<\/strong> +<strong> J<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/notfully_4.png\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This warning is related to the <\/span><a style=\"font-size: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/Why-do-I-get-This-page-contains-both-secure-and-non-secure-data-error\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">insecure content issue<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and can be easily fixed by updating the links to all images, scripts, CSS or js files to use the secure HTTPS protocol. A good alternative is creating relative URLs in HTML code of web pages. More details on this matter can be found <\/span><a style=\"font-size: inherit;\" href=\"http:\/\/nedbatchelder.com\/blog\/200710\/httphttps_transitions_and_relative_urls.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h_d7eb0017-308c-4c1d-a789-4b17dfc13ead\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Connection &#8211; obsolete connection settings<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This error won&#8217;t be reflected in the security panel after clicking on the padlock or tune icon in the address bar:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/notfully_5.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However, if you press <strong>Ctrl<\/strong> + <strong>Shift<\/strong> + <strong>J<\/strong> &gt;&gt; <strong>Security<\/strong>, you&#8217;ll find the details about the cipher suites used during the connection.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/notfully_6.png\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">The cipher suite is used by a server to perform encryption and secure negotiation with clients. This issue is not related to the SSL certificate itself, as it is a specific server configuration that can be modified if you have root access. The certificate chain for this site contains a certificate signed with SHA-1.<\/h3>\n<p>In the certificate details under the padlock\/tune icon, you&#8217;ll see:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/notfully_7.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the console (press <strong>Ctrl<\/strong> + <strong>Shift<\/strong> +<strong> J<\/strong> &gt;&gt; <strong>Security<\/strong>):<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/notfully_8.png\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This warning usually appears for the web sites with the certificate installed long ago, as the Certificate Authorities used to sign certificates with SHA-1 signatures before. Now, this signature algorithm is deprecated due to its vulnerability to attacks. If you see this warning in Chrome, please <\/span><a style=\"font-size: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/how-can-i-get-my-certificate-reissued\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reissue<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the certificate and reinstall it on the server.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We performed a full transition to SHA-2 in our system on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">November 6, 2014, so all the new and reissued certificates are signed with the latter-day sha256withRSAEncryption algorithm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: This error is quite a rare case by 2019 as the SHA1 certificates are less and less used and are going to be completely terminated very soon. There are a few SHA1 root certificates left and most of the browsers already got acquainted to SHA2 root certificates. This error was mostly seen when the transition from SHA1 to SHA2 hashing algorithms was only beginning.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h_38852a55-48c5-418c-9238-b87a2b31eb67\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your connection is not private.\u00a0<\/span>NET::ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/comodosslstore.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED.png\" alt=\"ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, it is a requirement for all trusted Certification Authorities to submit all of the certificates they issue to at least 3 Certificate Transparency logs<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>When the certificate records are missing in the Certificate Transparency logs for the site you are visiting, Chrome will display a security error when accessing the site.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not the site owner, there&#8217;s nothing you can do to fix the error, unfortunately. However, you can reach out to the site administrator and inform them about the issue providing the link to the page.<\/p>\n<p>If you are the site owner, you should reissue your certificate or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/#certs\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">purchase a brand new one<\/a> and install the new version on the server.<\/p>\n<p>Since October 2017 all certificates we provide are added to the relevant Certificate Transparency logs automatically and immediately when the certificate is issued.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ctl00_ctl00_ctl00_ctl00_base_content_web_base_content_home_content_page_content_left_ArticleInfoDisplayControl1\"><b>Note: <\/b>Since <b>23 March 2018<\/b>,<b> all SSL certificates<\/b> issued by Sectigo CA (former Comodo CA) <b>comply<\/b> with Chromium&#8217;s CT Policy.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here we would like to explain the notifications related to HTTPS connection and SSL certificates in Chrome.
