Q1:<\/strong> What happens to all the Symantec group certificates (Symantec, GeoTrust, Thawte) that I currently have in my account?<\/p>\n

A: All\u00a0active certificates\u00a0will continue working until their expiration date. Renewals can only be performed through us through\u00a0November 30, 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Q2:<\/strong> Can I still activate newly-purchased\u00a0Symantec group certificates (Symantec, GeoTrust, Thawte)?<\/p>\n

A: All newly-purchased certificates can be activated until November 30, 2016.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Q3:<\/strong> What happens to my certificate if I don\u2019t activate it in time?<\/p>\n

Beginning November 30,<\/span> 2016, we are discontinuing the sale and activation of all Symantec group SSL certificates\u00a0(Symantec, GeoTrust, Thawte) through SSLs.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you didn’t activate your SSL in time, you will be able to exchange\u00a0your certificate for an identical Comodo (now Sectigo) SSL<\/a> certificate for a lower price. You can also choose to receive a full refund for the unused certificate, which will be\u00a0applied to your SSLs.com account and can be used for other SSL renewals.<\/p>\n

Q4:<\/strong>\u00a0Will I be able\u00a0to reissue\/download my active\u00a0Symantec group certificate (Symantec, GeoTrust, Thawte)\u00a0after the sunset?<\/p>\n

Yes, that will be possible through End-User Home portal<\/a>, a place where all Symantec users can manage their certificates.<\/p>\n

Q5:<\/strong> Why\u00a0should I\u00a0replace my\u00a0Symantec group certificates (Symantec, GeoTrust, Thawte)\u00a0with another one?<\/p>\n

A: Starting on December 1, 2016 <\/strong>SSLs.com\u00a0will no longer allow renewals for these certificates. We suggest that you replace your current certificate with a similar one from Comodo (now Sectigo CA<\/a>). Our customer support team will gladly assist you with the activation, issuance and installation of the new certificate.<\/p>\n

Q6:<\/strong> Why did SSLs.com decide to stop selling\u00a0Symantec group certificates (Symantec, GeoTrust, Thawte)?<\/p>\n

SSLs.com is streamlining the experience for our customers. We want to offer the best products on the market at competitive pricing.<\/p>\n

Q7:<\/strong> What is going to happen with my current\u00a0active\u00a0<\/strong>Symantec group certificates (Symantec, GeoTrust, Thawte)\u00a0which\u00a0are\u00a0installed on my server?<\/p>\n

There is no impact on active and\/or installed certificates.<\/p>\n

Q8:<\/strong> Will you continue to support active, installed Symantec certificates in case I have any issues?<\/p>\n

Yes, our customer support team will gladly assist you with installation or any other issues you might have.<\/p>\n

Q9:<\/strong> Will I be able to\u00a0add SAN\u00a0to my current\u00a0active\u00a0<\/strong>Multi-Domain certificate<\/a> during the reissue?<\/p>\n

That will be possible until <\/span> November 30, 2016.\u00a0<\/span> <\/strong> After this date, there will be no possibility to add an additional SAN. <\/span><\/p>\n

Q10:<\/strong> I have purchased one or more\u00a0Symantec group certificates (Symantec, GeoTrust, Thawte)\u00a0but never activated them. Am I eligible for a refund?<\/p>\n

For any unused certificates, you can request a refund to your bank or credit card within 90 days of purchase.<\/p>\n

Q11: <\/strong>Which COMODO certificate is an\u00a0<\/strong>equivalent\u00a0to my existing Symantec one?<\/p>\n

Equivalents to Symantec certificates will be displayed in your account panel and in your Symantec renewal email.<\/p>\n

During the activation process, the system will automatically substitute a Comodo (now Sectigo<\/a>) product that is similar to your Symantec certificate.<\/p>\n

All Comodo\u00a0(now Sectigo<\/a>) certificates come at a lower price, so the difference will be credited to your SSLs.com account balance.<\/p>\n

Q12:<\/strong> Do you offer discounts or coupon codes\u00a0for COMODO SSLs so that I can purchase one at a lower price and check if it is as good as Symantec?<\/p>\n

We are not offering specific discounts\/coupons but all the Comodo (now Sectigo<\/a>) SSL provide the same level of security but at a fraction of the cost.
