It is also possible to apply as an&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/can-i-apply-to-an-ov-ev-certificate-as-an-individual\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Individual<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OV certificate shows that your domain name ownership and business details were verified by the Certificate Authority before the certificate issuance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Information about both domain and company will be listed in the certificate details in the browser along with HTTPS and a padlock and will also be visible on the <a href=\"https:\/\/sectigo.com\/trust-seal\/\">Site Seal<\/a>. These are the main validation stages<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\"><strong>CA checks company details via databases<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\">An email with a list of the required documents will be sent to you right after you complete the SSL activation process. In order to verify the existence of your organization, Sectigo must be able to find it listed either in an official government database or a third-party database such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dnb.com\/\">Dun&amp;Bradstreet<\/a>. The company telephone number also needs to be verified via the databases. If the address and telephone number details submitted during certificate activation don&#8217;t match the database record, they may use one of the additional documents for address verification, such as Legal Opinion Letter, which can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/support.sectigo.com\/Com_KnowledgeDetailPage?Id=kA01N000000XDLu\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digital click-through<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will also receive a Subscriber Agreement email, it will be sent to the administrative contact email address for your order. You&#8217;ll need to click through it, filling out the requested details about your company and the Certificate Requester.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\"><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Callback verification stage<\/strong><br><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Callback verification is also an obligatory step for this certificate. It is required to verify organizational contact and make sure that the applicant is authorized to request an SSL certificate on behalf of the organization. As soon as all documentary validation is complete, Sectigo will send you the callback email. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This email is sent to the officially registered domain-related email for the company, which you specify during the SSL activation. Alternatively, one of the following generic email addresses can be used: <a href=\"mailto:admin@domain.com,\">admin@domain.com,<\/a> <a href=\"mailto:administrator@domain.com,\">administrator@domain.com,<\/a> <a href=\"mailto:hostmaster@domain.com,\">hostmaster@domain.com,<\/a> <a href=\"mailto:postmaster@domain.com,\">postmaster@domain.com,<\/a> <a href=\"mailto:webmaster@domain.com\">webmaster@domain.com<\/a>. You will be provided with a 6-digit verification code.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add the code to the <strong>\u2018Callback Verification Code\u2019<\/strong> field and click Next.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/callback3.png\" width=\"549\" height=\"375\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><strong>\u2018Call me later on ..\u2019<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> option allows you to schedule the call for the most suitable time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can click <\/span><strong>Request Manual Callback<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a Sectigo agent will call you manually to validate the order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The option <strong>Provide correct phone number<\/strong> can be used if you would like to add another phone number.
