If you have DirectAdmin, perform the following steps:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>As per the screenshot below, click the button in the top-left corner to navigate to your server\u2019s main menu. If you use DirectAdmin to create the CSR code, the Private key is not saved automatically, so you must ensure to save it manually. The Private key features the following header and footer: &#8212;&#8211;BEGIN PRIVATE KEY&#8212;&#8211; and &#8212;&#8211;END PRIVATE KEY&#8212;&#8211;.<\/i><\/p><\/li><li>In the <b>Certificate field<\/b>, paste the SSL certificate code you got from the CA, including &#8212;&#8211;BEGIN CERTIFICATE&#8212;&#8211; and &#8212;&#8211;END CERTIFICATE&#8212;&#8211;. You can also find the code in the yourdomain.crt file that you can download from your SSLs.com account. <br>Open the file using a plain text editor such as TextEdit (for macOS) or Notepad (for Windows).<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"149\" class=\"wp-image-6073\" style=\"width: 500px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_5.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_5.png 682w, https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_5-300x89.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_5-150x45.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/li><li>Once you\u2019ve pasted the certificate code, select the <b>Force SSL with https redirect<\/b> option located below the box. When an HTTPS redirect is enabled, it ensures your site visitors are automatically redirected to the secure version of the site. Once the box is ticked, click <b>Save<\/b>.<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"152\" class=\"wp-image-6082\" style=\"width: 500px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_6-1.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_6-1.png 639w, https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_6-1-300x91.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_6-1-150x46.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/li><li> Upload your SSL\u2019s CA Bundle file (the file with the extension .ca-bundle) to DirectAdmin to finish installing it. <p>You can find the CA Bundle file in the ZIP archive the CA emailed you. You can also<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/user\/certificates\"> find it in your SSLs.com account<\/a>. Look for the file called: yourdomain.ca-bundle.Use Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (mac OS) to open the file to copy its content in the TXT format needed for adding it to the DirectAdmin panel.<\/p><ul><li>Select <b>\u201cPaste a pre-generated certificate and key\u201d <\/b>then <b>SSL CA Certificate<\/b>.<br><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"102\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6060\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_7.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_7.png 512w, https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_7-300x60.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_7-150x30.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><li>In the box, paste the contents of your .ca-bundle file and select<b> Use a CA cert <\/b>below. Then click <b>Save<\/b>.<br><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"188\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6061\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_8.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_8.png 512w, https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_8-300x110.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ssls.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DirectAdmin_install_8-150x55.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>You should receive a message saying, \u201c<b>Success CA certificate is ok. Your site should be secure within a few minutes\u201d<\/b>. This means you installed your SSL successfully. Use this tool to check your SSL\u2019s installation status: <a href=\"https:\/\/decoder.link\">https:\/\/decoder.link<\/a><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2\">Troubleshooting the &#8220;Could not Execute your request&#8221; error<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes you may get the message, \u201c<i>Could not Execute your request. SSL is not enabled for this domain<\/i>\u201d when you open the <b>SSL Certificates<\/b> section in your Account Manager. This means that the <b>Disable SSL<\/b> option has been selected. This option doesn\u2019t allow SSL installation and prevents you from opening the <b>SSL Certificates<\/b> section. If the option is enabled you can neither turn it off in the user management area nor install your certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can only disable it through SSH. So you\u2019ll need root access to the server where you have DirectAdmin via SSH. When you have logged in as a root user, open the domain\u2019s configuration file by running the following command:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\"><code>sudo nano \/usr\/local\/directadmin\/data\/users\/<\/code><b><code>USER<\/code><\/b><code>\/domains\/<\/code><b><code>DOMAIN.TLD<\/code><\/b><code>.conf<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>nano <\/b>is the command to open the .txt file.&nbsp;<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>User <\/b>is the name of the account where you will apply the changes.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>DOMAIN.TLD<\/b> is your domain name.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Find the field<b> ssl=OFF <\/b>and change it to <b>ssl=ON<\/b> in the configuration file. When you\u2019re done, <b>&nbsp;<\/b>save the changes by pressing <b>CTRL+O,<\/b> then exit the file with <b>CTRL+X<\/b>.
